emergency exit in a structure is a special exit for emergencies
such as a fire.It is usually a strategically located (e.g. in a
stairwell, hallway, or other likely place) outward opening door
with acrash bar on it and with exit signs leading to it. The name
is a reference to when they are frequently used, however a fire
exit can also be a main doorway in or out.
Installation and maintenance of emergency lights
1. In the engineering design, in order to facilitate the
maintenance and management at ordinary times, the fire emergency
lighting should preferably be powered by a dedicated feeder circuit
by floor.
2. In order to ensure the reliability of the power supply for fire
emergency lighting, the power supply should be supplied by the
low-voltage emergency bus section of the substation, that is, when
the diesel generator set is used as the emergency power supply, as
long as the generator is put into use, it will have electricity to
continue to ensure powered by.
3. In a fire state, there is less smoke and more oxygen near the
ground, and the instinctive response of people to evacuate is to
bend over or crawl forward, so local high-intensity lighting is
higher than high-level lighting.
The uniform illumination brought by the installation is more
effective. Therefore, low-level installation should be promoted,
that is, emergency lighting for evacuation should be provided close
to the ground or at ground level.
4. The emergency lights are all discharged from the factory and
must be charged for 20 hours before use.
5. The performance of emergency lamps in use should be checked
regularly, and the continuous switch test should be passed every
half month or one month to check the circuit conversion and the
emergency function of the battery, and discharge it to prolong the
service life of the battery.
6. Do a good job of fire protection for power distribution lines,
lay them in the non-combustion body structure when laying in the
dark, and the thickness of the protective layer is not less than
30mm; wear metal pipes when laying openly, and brush fire-retardant
paint on the outside of the steel pipes or take other fire-proof
measures; Use fire-resistant cables or fire-resistant cables and
wires.
